Jumbo Offshore
For the last five years Jumbo Offshore has been building its reputation as a solid installation contractor with a clear focus on subsea structures, mooring systems and light weight jackets and topsides. The main installation vessel is the Jumbo Javelin. Equipped with two 900 t Huisman mast cranes, fitted with a Kongsberg dynamic positioning system and with an enormous deck and large storage capacity she is a very useful installation tool. In 2008 the Jumbo Javelin will get a companion in the Fairplayer, the second DP2 J-class vessel for conducting offshore installation works. This vessel will be able to install in 2.500 mtrs.
Ideally, the heavy lift vessels will be contracted to "Lift, Ship and Install, All in One Go" in one smooth and continuous operation. For instance, loading manifolds, suction piles, spiral strand wires and other project equipment in Europe, transiting to West Africa and executing the installation
